My car currently has recently passed 90k miles (59 plate mk4 mondeo estate, 2.0tdci) and I am in the process of wondering whether to get rid of it (in the next 12 - 18 months when funds allow) for either a mk5 estate or maybe a pre face-lift ranger (or another pickup as they suit what I need from a vehicle as much as this does) Ford mondeo 2.0 tdci - Sudden starting issue mondeo MK 4 2.0 tdci. I have a 2008 Mondeo 2.0ltr TDCI Titanium X and my ABS and Traction controls lights are perm on. I have read all the previous posts and checked both front ABS sensors and checked the wiring (even removed inner wheel arch covers) and found no abvious faults. I've got a 2013 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 140 with 110.000 miles on the clock. It runs well, and I'm happy with it apart from one thing. When I reach a steep incline in 6th gear, and the load on the engine increases to maintain speed, it sometimes cuts out (quite hard) and loses power for a few seconds.
